What we collect when you contact us about water treatment, and what we do with it.

Last updated: October 2026
Information We Collect
Carmel Water Filtration serves homeowners and businesses in Carmel and the surrounding Hamilton County area, and the information we collect reflects that work. When you telephone us, we typically take your name, the number you are calling from, your service address, and a description of the water problem you are experiencing, such as scale on fixtures, a sulfur odor, or staining in a sink.
If we carry out a water test at your property, we record the measurements taken at your taps, including hardness, iron, chlorine, pH and total dissolved solids, along with notes on your plumbing, your water source, and any treatment equipment already installed. Where we prepare a quotation or complete an installation, we keep the records needed to support that work.
This website may also collect limited technical information automatically, such as the pages visited, the approximate region a visit came from, the browser used, and the site that referred you. This is standard server and analytics information and is not used to identify you personally.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to respond to enquiries, schedule testing and installation visits, prepare and honour quotations, carry out work at your property, supply the correct replacement cartridges or media, and keep a service history for equipment we have installed or maintained.
We may also use contact details to follow up on a quotation you requested, to let you know when a filter or media change is due, or to answer a question about a system we worked on. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to send marketing on behalf of other companies.
Cookies and Tracking
This site may use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working correctly and to understand in general terms how visitors move through it. Cookies of this kind do not tell us who you are.
Most browsers let you refuse cookies or delete those already stored, through the browser's own settings. Doing so should not prevent you from reading any page on this site or from finding our telephone number.
How We Share Information
We share information only where it is necessary to do the work or where the law requires it. That can include a manufacturer or supplier when a warranty claim or a parts order is being processed, a laboratory where a water sample requires testing beyond what a field kit can measure, and service providers who help us operate our telephone system, scheduling or website.
Anyone we share information with is expected to use it only for the purpose it was shared for. We do not sell, rent or trade customer information.
Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, including limiting access to the people who need it to do their job and keeping records on systems protected by access controls.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you would prefer not to share a particular detail with us, you are welcome to say so, and we will tell you whether we can proceed without it.
Your Choices and Rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct something that is wrong, or ask us to stop contacting you about quotations and service reminders. A telephone call is usually the quickest way to arrange any of those.
If you ask us to delete information, we will do so except where we need to retain records to support completed work, a warranty, or an obligation under applicable law.
Third-Party Links
Some pages on this site may link to other websites, such as an equipment manufacturer or a public information source. Those sites are operated by other organisations and have their own privacy practices.
We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or how they handle information. We would encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit from a link here.
Children's Privacy
Our services are offered to property owners and managers, and this website is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in how we work or in the services we provide. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
Continuing to use this website after a revision means you accept the policy as it then stands.
